Signing in

How do I sign in?

With an emailed code: enter your email, and we send you an 8-digit code. There’s no password to remember. You can also use Continue with Google, and on iPhone, Continue with Apple.

I didn’t get my sign-in code.

I signed up with Apple on my iPhone. How do I sign in on Android or another device?

Sign in with Apple is available on iPhone only. On other devices, choose the email code and enter the email address on your account. Your account and everything in it will be there.

If the code doesn’t arrive, email us from your Apple ID email and we’ll help you in.

How do I find my Hide My Email address?

Still stuck? Email us from your Apple ID email and we’ll help.

Future Letters

When will my letter arrive?

On the date you chose. We send letters once a day, at 14:00 UTC (9 or 10 am US Eastern and 2 or 3 pm in London, depending on daylight saving), so depending on where you live it may arrive in the morning, afternoon or evening. The earliest date you can pick is tomorrow, and there’s no latest date.

What does the recipient receive?

An email from letters@wisdomroots.app with the subject “A Future Letter for [their name]”, containing your letter. If you’re writing to someone else, it can help to tell them to watch for it, since a first email from a new sender sometimes lands in spam.

Will I know when my letter is delivered?

Yes. We email you a confirmation when it’s delivered (without the letter’s text). If you’ve allowed notifications, you can also get a heads-up a week before and when it’s delivered.

Can I change a letter after I seal it?

You can reschedule it to a new date, pause it, or cancel it any time before delivery; open the letter in the Letters tab. Once sealed, the words and the recipient can’t be edited. That’s part of what makes it a sealed letter. To change them, cancel it and write a new one.

What if the recipient’s email address changes before delivery?

Cancel the letter and write it again with the new address. Delivery depends on the address still working on the day, so for letters far in the future, an address the person is likely to keep is best.

Do unfinished letters and reflections save?

Yes. Both save as drafts while you write, so you can come back to them. Unsealed letter drafts are in the Letters tab; reflection drafts are at the top of the Vault.

Premium

What does Premium include?

The free plan includes unlimited reflections, up to 2 photos on each reflection, and up to 3 Future Letters on their way at a time (scheduled or paused; drafts, delivered and cancelled letters don’t count). WisdomRoots Pro raises that to 10 photos per reflection and unlimited Future Letters. Plans and prices, including any free trial, are shown in the app before you buy.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple or Google, not by us:

To avoid the next charge, cancel before your renewal date (Apple asks for at least 24 hours before). Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.

I paid, but Premium isn’t showing.

Open Profile → Premium and tap Restore purchases. Make sure you’re signed in to the same Apple ID or Google account you bought with.

What happens if my Premium ends?

Nothing you’ve made is taken away. Letters you already scheduled are still delivered, and photos you already added stay. The free limits only apply to new letters and new photos.

Your data

Who can read what I write?

Your reflections are private to your account. A Future Letter is shared only with the recipient you choose, when it’s delivered. We don’t sell your information, and we don’t use what you write for advertising or AI training. The details are in our Privacy Policy.

Can I export my reflections and letters?

Yes. Go to Profile → Privacy & data → Export my data for a copy of your reflections and Future Letters (archived reflections aren’t included yet). For a complete copy of everything we hold, including archived reflections, photos, drafts, and settings, email support@wisdomroots.app.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Profile → Privacy & data → Delete account. We’ll ask you to confirm with a code sent to your email (or with Apple, if you signed up with Apple on iPhone). This permanently deletes your reflections, photos, Future Letters, and account.

Letters that haven’t been delivered yet will not be sent. If you have a Premium subscription, cancel it with Apple or Google too, because deleting your account doesn’t stop store billing.

Notifications

How do I change or turn off notifications?

Go to Profile → Notifications. You can choose which days and what time you’d like an invitation to reflect, and turn letter updates on or off. You can also turn off notifications entirely in your phone’s settings.

Will you message me at night?

No. Nothing arrives between 9:30 pm and 8 am your time, and you’ll never get more than one invitation to reflect in a day. You won’t get one on a day you’ve already written. Notifications never include the text of your reflections or letters.

The app

Can I change how the app looks?

Yes. Profile → Appearance offers Teal, Keepsake Light, and Keepsake Dark.

How do I contact you?

Email support@wisdomroots.app, or tap Profile → Contact support in the app.
